We've lost our old friend Steve Innes. I have no details except that someone announced his passing at our Ross reunion party in Sept., 2008.

We lost our old friend Joan Horak on Feb. 24, 2008. She was missed at the reunion.

Teacher updates: There's some good news and bad news: the good news is that one of our favorite 6th grade teachers, Mr. McGhee, is alive and well and attended our Ross reunion party. The bad news is that Mr. B. passed away in 2007.

Mr. Gowan has died


Robert "Bob" Gowan Passed away on July 26th, 2007, in Palm Springs, CA, following complications after bypass surgery at the age of eighty. Bob resided most of his life in Marin County. He is survived by his two children, Margaret Briggs of the Azores, Portugal and John Gowan of Novato; and his three grandchildren, Anne, Julia and Jack Briggs of the Azores, Portugal. Bob was a teacher and a principal in the Reed Union School District and Superintendent/Principal of the Ross School District. He served in the military during World War II. Bob was an avid tennis player and active member of the Mt. Tamalpais Racquet Club in Larkspur. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Novato on Thursday, August 23rd at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial/remembrances be sent to the Northern California Kidney Foundation, 131 Steuart Street, Suite 520, San Francisco, CA 94105.
