View from the drivers seat of a fast
ground car. The control panel contains a weather-radar screen,
seen on the right. Ground cars have several other types of equipment
including the ability to send up miniaturized radar rockets.
They shoot up 12 miles into the atmosphere to get a better look
at the weather conditions. Also, ground cars can fire small rocket
engines in whatever direction might be needed. For instance,
if a tornado is simply too big for the screw-like devices to
resist, the driver can blast the rockets upwards to help keep
the ground car down. Similarly, if swallowed by an air-whale,
firing the rocket engines should free the ground car with a blast
of fire. |
