The Phoenix lander was selected by NASA to be the first Mars Scout mission, set for launch in 2007. It will land in the northern polar regions and dig up soil to investigate recently discovered subsurface ice. This image is also available in a 35mm stereo slide format which is much better than the anaglyph version. |
