Earth and Mars Land Mass Comparison

 

The surface area of Mars is about as large as the surface of all the Earth's continents combined. In that sense at least, the planet Mars is virtually a second Earth. Scientists expect that just as the Earth contains many mysteries, so the planet Mars will take a long time to be fully understood.
