Top of the Kvanefjeld trail with our Greenlandic friends

At the top of the trail we talked and enjoyed the sun. Peter brought his son Ulrich along as well as another man to help with their tugtupite blasting operation. From left: name unknown, me, Peter and Ulrich. We could see the Inland Ice from up there. It appeared as a faint but distinct white line in the distance off to the right side of this picture, just visible through a low point in that rocky ridge behind us. It was an excellent Greenlandic moment.

Peter's company is Jewel Stones of Greenland.

Me and Peter

The Inland Ice was faintly visible to the north from up on Kvanefjeld.

Closeup: Our tugtupite location was near the "Kvanefjeld lake" marked on this map
