Sydnia Ann McIntosh was 20 years
old when her family traveled overland to California, arriving
in July, 1852. One year later, on June 1, 1853, she married George
Foster Jones, of Hillsboro, New Hampshire, at the Lone Tree Ranch
in Colusa County. George Foster Jones was a merchant and Sheriff
of Colusa County. He died on Nov. 7, 1873, Chico, Butte County,
Calif, at age 45.
