Waste family history

Richard Waste and the origin of the Precinct Church

According to the Electious Reynolds family history: "On October 12, 1725 the church in Middleborough was formed. Electious Reynolds and Richard Waste were among the first members." It also says Electious "lived in the westerly precinct of Middleboro". Today, that area has become Lakeville.

Other sources state that the Precinct Church of Lakeville, Massachusetts was co-founded by Richard Waste in 1724.

The Lakeville United Church of Christ was originally called the Precinct Church

This and other pictures of the church still to be added were graciously provided by Pastor Shawn Garvey.

Sunday afternoon, Aug. 3, 2003: Pastor Shawn Garvey smiling from the church pulpit. He recently left the Lakeville church for a new pastorate in New Jersey. A special thanks to him from the Waste family for taking all the pictures that appear on this page.
