James Thomas McIntosh
FAMILY REUNION EDITOR ENTERPRISE:
(1879-???) Such a family reunion as took place on Thursday of
last week, at the Bay ranch, the residence of Mr. J. T. McIntosh,
is always productive of good feeling, and tends to strengthen
the bonds of friendship and love, that bind friends dear to each
other. The occasion being the birthday of Mr. McIntosh and also
of the pet of the household, Baby Stanley, who celebrated his
first anniversary in a most becoming manner. With but two or
three exceptions, all the guests present were relatives of Mr.
McIntosh and his wife, and we are of the opinion there are not
many on our coast who can gather together so many related by
consanguinity and matriculation, as were present on this enjoyable
occasion. Two large tables were placed diagonally across the
dining-room with seating capacity for twenty guests. These were
refilled three times before all had partaken of the birthday
feast, and we should feel that we were withholding merited praise
if we failed to congratulate Mrs. McIntosh upon the exquisite
taste she displayed in the arrangement of her tables, which were
loaded with viands tempting alike to the eye and palate. One
remarkable incident and one that we do not believe has its parallel
was, that one gentleman sat at dinner with his - THREE MOTHERS-IN-LAW.
Think of that! But you need WASTE no sympathy on him, as he thinks
his weight in gold of each one of them. Father and son were the
recipients of several handsome gifts from loving hearts, which,
as the years roll on will always be a reminder of the birth-day
of 1879. Among those who were present were Mr. and Mrs. L.H.
McIntosh, Mrs. Rebecca McIntosh, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. McIntosh,
Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Eliot, Mr. and Mrs. Delos Fuller, Mr. and
Mrs. A. M. Barnard, Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Waste, Mr. and Mrs. J.
P. J. Helphinstine, Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Eliot, Mr. and Mrs. J.
M. Ormsby, Mr. and Mrs. E. T. Reynolds, Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Robinson,
Mr. Harmen Bay, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. W. Eliot, Mr. G. F. Nourse,
Mrs. Geo. F. Jones, Mr. and Mrs. T. H. Barnard, Mr. and Mrs.
J. T. Entler, Mrs. J. Gilley, Mr. and Mrs. B. W. Helphinstine,
