This is an actual animated view of asteroid
Eros as seen up close by NEAR, the Near
Earth Asteroid Rendezvous spacecraft.
In the future we should be able to see movies like this in stereo
almost live. The time delay wouldn't really be apparent to a
viewer on Earth: it would just appear to be streaming back from
outer space. |
