Melas Chasma Lander Science Invesigation

The flexible camera mast would be used to observe the landing site geology at close range. The camera would take stereo images of the most interesting surface features, such as the layering on the side of the canyon wall. An infrared instrument would analyze the nearby minerals. The meteorology instruments on the mast would analyze weather conditions. This lander was sent into particularly rough terrain inside Melas Chasma.
