Entry, Descent and Landing of a MultiScout Lander

After being slowed down by the parachute a balloon will carry the lander inside inflated airbags to a safe distance from the surface. This lander is heading to an area within the Gorgonum Chasma to investigate what appears to be water gullies on the canyon sides. This lander is heading for the floor of Ganges Chasma, part of the enormous Valles Marineris.
