This old vault contains two of my early illustrated stories by H.P. Lovecraft

The Dream Quest of Unknown Kadath and At the Mountains of Madness

Both projects are here with the permission of Arkham House.

My 2nd Lovecraft project is seen here for the first time. Here are the lavishly illustrated first 41 pages of "The Dream Quest of Unknown Kadath". Click on the pics to see larger versions. It was created in 1990-1993, using Lumena 16 (pre-Photoshop software) at the Center for Electronic Art in San Francisco, as was "At the Mountains of Madness".

In 1990, I turned Lovecraft's cosmic horror story "At the Mountains of Madness" into a unique illustrated "live multimedia"one-man show. The production was performed only once in it's entirety, in celebration of the 100th anniversary of Lovecraft's birth (that was on Aug. 20, 1990). I will be working on an internet version. In a related development I traveled to Greenland in the summer of 2004 in search of rare fluorescent minerals. It was a trip that could very well have been sponsored by the Miskatonic University Department of Geology. The polar icecap was awesome and keeps it's secrets well hidden - for now. I did bring back a fossil or two, in fact.
