The weather was perfect the day we arrived in Bancroft, Ontario. We were ready to hike into the forest to a well-known and very productive fluorescent mineral location in search of hackmanite. Hackmanite glows orange under long-wave ultraviolet lamps. Below are several specimens of fluorescent hackmanite from Bancroft.
